Subtitle: If we’re all so “connected,” why does no one respond anymore?
We live in a world where connection is supposedly easier than ever. We’ve got phones in our pockets, emails at our fingertips, and social media shouting that we’re all part of a “tribe,” a “community,” a “network.”
But here’s what I find fascinating—people don’t answer.
They don’t reply to emails.
They leave texts on read.
They ignore phone calls like they’re some kind of digital plague.
Why?
Are we too busy? Too overwhelmed? Or is it something deeper—a shift in how we define connection?
We claim we want to belong, to be seen, to be part of something greater. But when given the chance for real interaction, we ghost each other. Maybe we’ve confused access with engagement. Maybe we think being available 24/7 means we can afford to ignore without consequence.
I don’t have all the answers, but it makes me ask the question:
What does connection actually mean to me?
Is it just about being reachable? Or is it about being present, responsive, human?
So I ask you—how do you connect in this modern world?
What steps do you take to stay real, reachable, and relational?
Drop your thoughts in the comments. I’d love to hear from you—
(If you still answer blog posts.)
